New Yorkers are a disaffected bunch; in public they can seem blind to their surroundings, always fiddling with a BlackBerry or iPod and at all costs avoiding eye contact. Yet line Central Park with miles of orange gates, or install some temporary man-made waterfalls on the East River, and these urban dwellers shed their recalcitrance and become positively giddy.

Coronado Community Read Brochure is Now Available

Are you READY Coronado? The 2018 Coronado Community Read selection is Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. The Community READ is a six-week community program of lectures, activities, films and book discussions focusing on a shared book. Most of the events are FREE and open to the public. The 2018 Coronado Community Read is launching February 22 at 6:30 p.m. with PRESS REWIND: A 1980’s Concert featuring BETAMAXX. Tickets are on sale at the Coronado Library Reference Desk or contact the Contract Arts Administrator at 619.522.2633. Tickets are $25 per person and this event will sell out!
