Holidays in Rio with Nossa Bossa Nova

The Coronado Public Library presents "Holiday's in Rio with Nossa Bossa Nova,: on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 7 pm in the Winn Room.  Nova Bossa Nova will be performing traditional Holiday songs set to smooth, Brazilian rhythms, and sung in Portuguese. Favorites from "O Come All Ye Faithful" to "Jingle Bells" will be included. They will also perform a samba "Maoz Tzur" in Hebrew and a Latin flavored instrumental version of "The Dreidel Song." The peformers will have their CDs available for purchase and signing. They will accept credit cards, cash and checks. Each CD is $15.00.

Have you received your Coronado Adult Education January 2014 Schedule of Classes? Registration started December 9th and the semester begins January 6, 2014.  The 2014 offerings include a course on the Basics of Mosaic Art with local Mosaic Artist Kirstin Green; Drawing for Beginners with Graphic Artist Janette Noel; Ceramics with Lee Puffer who has taught art at SDSU, MassArt and Grossmont College and a Woodworking course taught by Scott Lienhard who is a graduate of Palomar College Woodworking Department.
