2018 JDSC Osher Series - January 10

The next presentation of the Osher Series at the John D. Spreckels Center and Bowling Green in Coronado will be held January 10, from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. and admission is free. The topic will be “Proposals for Science-Based Regulation of Genetically Engineered Food and Dietary Supplements” featuring Joanna Sax, the E. Donald Shapiro Professor of Law at the California Western School of Law. The lecture will examine two distinct areas of food regulation by the Food and Drug Administration and will explore how regulatory policies affect our food supply.
As with the UCSD series, attendees should be 50 or over and since spots are limited, pre-registration through the Spreckels Center is required. Call 619-522-7343 for more information on the Coronado Osher offerings.
