Christ Church Concert Series Goes Back in Time.
Christ Episcopal Church invites the community to travel back in time and experience an introduction to the world of music from the Renaissance and Medieval eras. Have you been kept awake at night, pondering the difference between a sackbut and a dudelsack? Have you felt left out of the conversation because you have no idea how the hurdy-gurdy functions? Come join us this Sunday and learn about these instruments and more when the long-established and unique ensemble Courtly Noyse presents an afternoon concert at Christ Church, Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the church. With opulent costumes, hand-crafted instruments, and a one-of-a-kind program, Courtly Noyse (courtlynoyse.com) invites participants to enjoy whiling away a Sunday afternoon as our forbearers in the sixteenth century did, with music, storytelling, and jokes. This will be a family-friendly event that everyone will enjoy. A lovely “Renasisance” reception follows this free concert.
Christ Church is located at the corner of Ninth Street and C Avenue. Parking is available in the church lot directly opposite the campus on C Avenue. For more information, you can contact the parish office – 619-435-4561 or www.christchurchcoronado.org.
