Saturday, March 4, 2023

o you love to write? Are you ready to take the next step and submit your work to this year’s KidsWrite! youth writing contest (sponsored by the San Diego Writers Festival)? Every year they put out a call to youth writers, CLICK HERE to find out more about the contest. In this workshop, you will write to a series of prompts meant to help you generate new writing (poetry, short stories, graphic stories) around this year’s theme, “The Day You Begin,” inspired by the book with the same title by Jaqueline Woodson and illustrated by Rafael Lopez. Bring paper, pencil, and your passion for writing. Led by Tania Pryputniewicz. Register at cplevents.org
