Coronado Public Library, in partnership with the Coronado Island Film Festival, presents FILM FORUM CORONADO, taking place the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the library's Winn Room. Film expert Ralph DeLauro provides a brief introduction to each film and leads a discussion afterwards, often including pointers about how lighting or camera angles contribute to a scene’s mood or propel the story. Arpil 5: Women Talking (2022, 104 min) Do nothing. Stay and fight. Leave and build a better world. The women of an isolated religious community grapple with reconciling their plight with their faith in Sarah Polley’s biting and explosive film. The outstanding ensemble includes Rooney Mara, Jessie Buckley, Claire Foy, Frances McDormand and Ben Whishaw.
