The awards committee of the American Public Workers Associationhas awarded the City of Coronado Navy Seal Commemorative Statue at Glorietta Park a 2017 APWA Outstanding Award. An award ceremony is slated for Thursday, May 11, 2017 during the Association's month meeting, which is hosted at the Paradise Point Resort. A vast number of individuals and agencies contributed their time and expertise in support of First Ashore - Naked Warrior - a Navy SEAL Commemorative statue sited in Glorietta Bay Park.
Read more›CORONADO, CA (February 6, 2017) -- The Coronado Cultural Arts Commission (CAC) is calling local artists to submit artwork with a floral theme for inclusion in an exhibition and sale of art in the 2017 Coronado Flower Show to be held the weekend of April 8-9. Back by popular demand, the Commission will once again mount an exhibition, Florals by Locals, to highlight the work of local artists at the annual community flower show. This year artists may offer their work for sale.

Read more›Local Coronado artist Dixie McCarthy is a featured artist in WOMEN IN ART 2017 - first group showing in New York City at the Ward Nasse Gallery. The Show runs through March 15 with an Opening Reception in the gallery on March 4 from 4 - 8 p.m.
