The Coronado Cultural Arts Commission is calling local artists to submit artwork inspired by the year 1969 for a new exhibition in the Coronado Community C3 Gallery. In addition to the national events in 1969, including a man on the moon and Woodstock, the San Diego Padres played their inaugural season and Coronado changed forever with the opening of the San Diego-Coronado Bridge and the Coronado Cays. To participate, artists must be 18 or older, a resident of Coronado or work, teach or own property in Coronado. This show will also be open to alumni of all Coronado schools. All artwork must be original and the work of the registered applicant. For information, contact Kelly Purvis at kpurvis@coronado.ca.us or at (619) 522-2633.
