The first event of 2021 for the Coronado Cultural Arts Commission was a huge success!
Focusing on mental health and healing through the arts, Commissioner Teresa Espaniola and her daughter delivered both to the community for a day of superhero cape making and drawing your own world. Local artist Kirstin Green taught magical wand making with the help of her mother. Volunteers Linda and Michael were on site to assist and hand out snacks to participants.
Coronado Cultural Arts Commission partnered with Coronado SAFE and Coronado Public Library for May Mental Wellness Month to bring healthy activities to the community that encourage art as a therapeutic means. 2020 was a hard year for all of us, let's take time to care for ourselves and let our creativity blossom.
