San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus Performs at the Spreckels Center
On Thursday, October 10, 6 – 8:15 p.m., 35 members of the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus will perform selections from Motown and The Music of Cher, two of their previous concerts during their current 34th season. The event will be held at the John D. Spreckels Center, located at 1019 Seventh St. Under the leadership of Artistic Director RC Haus and Executive Director Jeff Heine, the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus is celebrating its 34th anniversary of changing lives one voice at a time. With more than 300 members, it is one of the largest gay choruses in the world and has sung at locations including the White House, the Super Bowl and Lincoln Center. The Chorus performs in front of tens of thousands of San Diegans each year including sold-out shows at the historic Balboa Theatre in downtown San Diego. The group’s official mission is to create a positive musical experience through exciting performances that engage audiences, build community support and provide a dynamic force for social change. The cost for the performance is $30 for Coronado residents and $37 for nonresidents and includes a reception from 6-7pm with light refreshments and beverages provided. Beer and wine will be available for sale. We expect this event to sell out quickly, so reserve your tickets now.
