Elizabeth Page started March 19 at the Coronado Public Library as the Senior Librarian, Head of Youth Services. She comes from the Monrovia Public Library in the San Gabriel Valley working 8 years in various positions including Youth Services Supervisor. Previous to that she worked as the Teen Librarian at Moorpark City Library and the Tween Library at the Ann Arbor District Library in Michigan. She earned a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from Washington State University and a Masters in Information Science from the University of Michigan. Elizabeth is active in the American Library Association serving on book award committees including the Printz Award, and is currently serving on the Alex Awards, helping to choose quality adult books with teen appeal. Her passions include storytelling for preschoolers, developing elementary age programming, and staying up with popular culture. She even wrote a book in 2011 on using popular culture to develop programs for teens titled Create, Relate and Pop @the Library: Services and Program for Teens & Tweens.
