MotorCars on MainStreet car show
It's the 29th year classic cars storm the isle of Coronado, CA for Motorcars on MainStreet, an ongoing tradition that takes place right in the center of downtown.
Convertibles, roadsters, trucks, street rods and other custom rides — all of which rolled out of the factory before 1973 — gather at Isabella and Orange Avenue, one block from the beach, to flaunt their fancy paint jobs and meaty engines.
More than 400 entrants will compete for the title of Best in Show. Rock to live entertainment by Tommy Price & The Stilettos and Jumpin’ Jack Flash DJ will spin Solid Gold Rock in Star Park. Thousands of spectators will attend and the viewing is FREE.
The cars rally rain or shine, but any Southern Californian — grease monkey or not — knows to expect the latter. Car registrations are $40 before April 21 and $45 after. This event will sell out. Register at CoronadoMainStreet.com or call 619-437-0254 for more information.
