Linda Grady will take us on a vivid trip to Taiwan, otherwise known as the Republic of China. Taiwan has seen dramatic changes since the 1949 departure of the Nationalist Party from Mainland China and Linda's journey through modern Taiwan captures many of them.
Armchair Travel is a monthly social gathering of local residents and visitors who are interested in travel. The event starts at 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month in the beautiful Nautilus Room of the Coronado Community Center. 1845 Strand Way. Each month a local speaker shares their experience traveling to a different country. Refreshments reflecting the country to be discussed are served from 6 - 6:45 p.m. when our speaker will begin their presentation. This is a wonderful opportunity for community members to meet old friends and make new acquaintances with whom they share a common interest in travel. There is a $5 admission fee payable at the front desk.
