Event Details

Coronado Public Library, in partnership with the Coronado Island Film Festival, presents FILM FORUM CORONADO, taking place the first and third Wednesday of each month (*except this month, which will be the first and fourth Wednesdays) at 6:00 p.m. in the library's Winn Room. Film expert Ralph DeLauro provides a brief introduction to each film and leads a discussion afterwards, often including pointers about how lighting or camera angles contribute to a scene’s mood or propel the story.

September 28: Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris (2022, 115 min, rated PG)

Lesley Manville headlines this whimsical, effervescent frock fantasy. A plucky housekeeper (Manville) treks to the chic halls of haute couture to realize her dream of owning a Dior gown. Co-starring Isabelle Huppert and Jason Isaacs. Director Anthony Fabian based this film on the 1958 novel Mrs. ‘Arris Goes To Paris written by Paul Gallico.
