640 Orange Avenue Coronado, CA 92118
In partnership with the Coronado Scribes Writing Group, the Coronado Public Library will once again host a public coffeehouse-style poetry open-mic night on Thursday, April 19th at 6 p.m. in the Winn Room.
Mayor Emeritus Casey Tanaka will emcee the event, and anyone interested in reading their own poetry is invited to share their work. If you’d like to read at this event, send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org or call the library at 619-522-7390.
In addition to the poets, the evening is open to anyone who enjoys listening to poetry or would just like to meet some local writers. Mark Danisovszky will provide the music, and refreshments will be served. This event is made possible by the Friends of the Library.
The Coronado Scribes, formed with the assistance of the Coronado Arts Commission, meets regularly at the library on Wednesday afternoons and is open to local writers wishing to join the group. For more information on “the Scribes,” visit the Coronado Scribes Facebook page.
