Spring Author Series at the Coronado Library

The Coronado Library is pleased to announce its spring author series beginning March 8th through May 11th. A variety of visiting authors--from near and far will discuss their work, share their process and answer questions from community members. After each presentation, the public is invited to stay for a signing reception. The following authors are set to visit the library: March 8th at 6:30pm Angelica Carpenter will discuss her book: "Born Criminal: Matilda Josyln Gage, Radical Suffragist." This is the perfect topic to kick off Women’s History Month! On Saturday, March 9th at2:30pm, Rita Sudman will be at the library to discuss: "Water: More or Less," a topic that relates to the plot of our community read book, "The Practice House," set during the water crisis of the Dust Bowl. On Sunday, March 10th at 3:30pm, Coronado author, Capt. Donald Auten, USN (Ret) will discuss his book: "Alika: Odyssey of a Navy Dolphin," a beautiful story of loyalty, hope and love. On Thursday, April 4th at 6:30pm the library will host Ernest Snowden will present on "Winged Brothers: Naval Aviation as Lived by Ernest and Macon Snowden. Bridget Grimes will visit on Thursday, April 11th at 6:30pm to share her knowledge on "Corner Office Choices: The Executive Woman's Guide to Financial Freedom." Finally, on Saturday, May 11, retired San Diego Judge, David Szumowski, will discuss his book, Reach for More: A Journey from Loss to Love and Fulfillment.

These programs will be held in the Winn Room. They are free and open to the public thanks to the Friends of the Coronado Library. For information, call the Library at 619-522-7390.
