DESCRIPTION Chuck Abel- began gardening in San Diego at his grandfather’s side in the late 1940s. Grandpa and grandma, recently retired Minnesota farmers, came to San Diego for 2 or 3 months each winter to plant a garden and fill the house with the heavenly aroma of fresh-baked home-made bread.
Taking a break to attend college and become a science teacher, Chuck resumed San Diego home gardening 40 plus years ago with his children and has been growing good things to eat ever since.
You will be able to take home a gift to start your garden.
