Brad Willis is a retired foreign correspondent with NBC News. His award winning career in journalism took him inside Afghanistan with the mujahideen freedom fighters, to the frontlines of the Gulf War, apartheid in Africa, drug wars in South America, and assignments throughout Asia. His career was cut short following a broken back, failed surgery and a diagnosis of incurable cancer from the Gulf War.
Nearing death, Willis embraced holistic medicine and ultimately survived. His memoir, Warrior Pose, chronicles his life from war zones to refugee camps, the depression and struggle with heavy medications following his injury, and his ultimate healing through alternative means.
A Coronado resident since 1993, Willis lives with his wife, Laura Plumb, also an author and practitioner of Ayurvedic Medicine.
